about

What started as a one song project quickly materialized into something more. Always inspired by music with rhythm, Deceptive Noise looks to meld ambient drone-like soundscapes with in-your-face drum beats and percussive tracks to create a musical palette of varied colors.

A wide variety of instrumentation is used on each track, fusing both live and sampled instruments to keep that ‘human’ element to the music that tends to be missing from the electronic music genre as a whole.

"‘Deceptive Noise’ is an Ambient / Electronic project of mine where I can create pretty much any type of musical sound scape that I want. It’s freedom of expression and experimentation. Through the use of electronic and human instruments I try to find an emotional tie to the music I create. It’s a challenge to draw out emotions in people without the use of vocals or lyrics. Instrumentation replaces the vocal melody and the melding of various layers attempts to keep the listener’s interest.

This project is always adapting to find new ways of creating ‘music’. Not even I know what the next album will sound like upon completion…but that’s half the fun of it."
